It is my pleasure to provide a written reference for Kevin Brown of Kiwi Welldrillers of Warkworth.
New Zealand Spring Water (NZSW) has enjoyed a long and very positive association with Kevin, Barbara and their team since we commenced our bottled water project in Poroti Springs, Northland, in 2002.
As fourth generation welldrillers, Kiwi Welldrillers have a unique and long standing association with our bore site - Kevin's Uncle Tom drilled our three 20 inch production bores back in the late 70's early 80's as part of a major infrastructure project for the then Whangarei City Council.
Kevin has since been commissioned by NZSW on at least half a dozen occasions to complete works at our site including, exploration, purging, pump and flow testing, water testing, pipework removal, bore upgrades, steel fabrication and related physical site works. Furthermore over that time Kevin has been able to provide a great deal of historical information on the aquifer and water source development in the area, and historical use of our site, knowledge long since lost to the local council whom we purchased the site from. NZSW also sought expert guidance from Kevin to determine the replacement value of the infrastructure at our site.
Most recently NZSW employed the services of Kiwi Welldrillers for a comprehensive review of our bores utilising their specialist camera equipment prior to the installation of our #1 production bore head works, in conjunction with Dirk Hasselhof of Ozone Technology.
I can wholeheartedly attest to the professional work ethic of both Kevin and his team members. On each and every occasion I have been impressed by their knowledge, thoroughness and care taken when working at our site.
In terms of the equipment they bring to site, it is always of the highest standard and most appropriate in terms of the work to be undertaken. His team maintain their equipment meticulously.
On a personal note I find Kevin to be a very straight shooter and genuinely professional operator I can rely on. I respect his advice and welcome his considered comments in terms of development of water sources, in particular his expertise in the areas in which he regularly operates, Northland being only one of his territories.
